New blog alert!

You have to check out this blog - Paris vs New York, a tally of two cities. It is just gorgeous and very smart in its visual comparisons between the two cities. I love this so much...

For the 'Vintage Traveller' at heart

Loving these 2011 Calendars from Anthropologie...

...For those who love Paris

...For those who love a trip around the world (especially love the two months dedicated to Australia of course!)

Perfect for the calendar in the kitchen, don't you think?

Bon Voyage!

chip chop's "so you think you're from france"

LOVING chip chop's latest line, "so you think you're from france" - especially their "have merci" t-shirt.

Don't you think their Polkadot Blazer is also super cute?  Perfect for the seasonal transition no matter where you are in the world, Oui?

Feeling *blue*

Blissfully blue that is!

You could wear this gorgeous frock from bloomingdales,
Whilst having your date night meal cooked for you in the lovely Le Creuset Oval Dutch Oven,
And be spoilt with a beautiful pendant from Irene Neuwirth!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

Loving l'uccello

In Melbourne, Australia, located a few blocks from the Yarra River is this incredible vintage haberdashery and homewares store called l'ucello.  They have an amazing blog showcasing all their irresistible finds and creations one could pour over for hours.

I am completely drawn to this 'Vintage Sewing Collection' shown in their 'Kokeshi Crush' post.

Even their vintage ribbon is beautifully presented in this lovely collection of 'mint, unused' measuring tapes, threads, French fabrics and buttons.

Be sure to discover all the irresistible offerings l'uccello have to offer.  I'm sure you'll find it {as did I} a wonderful source for inspiration and "vintage-ie"-goodness!

Merci!

It's my birthday in a couple of weeks and hubby has very thoughtfully booked a table at local French restuarant Chez Claude - which I'm very much looking forward to! While cruising Etsy (as you do) I came across these adorable french frog thank you cards from twopoochpaperie. I'd love to use these as birthday invitations. They are so cute!

Date night discovery: Restaurant Chez Claude

Last night, we had a spontaneous date night. Mostly because I didn't feel like cooking! However, there is a little french restaurant just down the road from our house that I've been wanting to go to for a while.

There were only two seats left when I rang to book (the phone was answered in french), so I knew it was meant to be! And it was an absolutely delightful experience. The food was market fresh, sourced locally and cooked to perfection by french chef and owner Claude Faullimmel and our waiter was just the right amount of friendly.

Inside it was very cosy with lots of french prints and photography on the terracotta walls. Feeling very European, we ordered a carafe (see the pottery one above) of award winning New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (not very European of us) to complement our very reasonably priced three course meal.

If you visit the Sunshine Coast, Australia, or live close by, I highly recommend you experience Restaurant Chez Claude in Woombye.
