Magic Christmas baubles

I love these handblown glass Christmas decorations from the Balcony Gardener. They look like they belong in a fairyland at the bottom of the garden.

This gorgeous website is full of lovely bits and pieces for the garden and balcony.  If you're looking for unique Christmas presents for people who enjoy the outdoors or appreciate a smattering of greenery around the house you could try something like the bungee bird feeder or taterpot or the blossom bird bath.

All simply delightful!

Seed love

Last Sunday I spent hours cleaning up the side of the house where I have been planning a vege patch for...oh about three years now. My goal is to get something happening by the time summer arrives. This is the year!

So when I found these cute seed packets on the lovely blog - this neck of the woods - you'll forgive me for being just a little excited.

My motivation levels for gardening have just gone sky high - particularly if I can get my seeds in these packets!

this neck of the woods is running their first ever giveaway so make sure you pop on over and enter.

Crushing on rooftop gardens

Latey I've been seeing a few stories around on houses/apartments that are making more of their space and really focusing on being more environmentally friendly in design and function.

One such home in Toronto, Canada, has caught my eye today on re-nest.com with a fabulous rooftop garden, not to mention its gorgeous interior. Looking at the scene from this window (above), you wouldn't think that the house was smack bang in the middle of suburbia!

Love love love the long bench table attached to the kitchen. I am so inspired and already collecting ideas for my next house.
